BELMONT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

So many great things are happening at Belmont! Below are a list of programs and activities currently happening at our school:

 

Academics

• National recognition for our Gifted and Advanced Learning Program

• Intensive Literacy Site, which means we have additional staff and programming to support our academic goals and we are pleased that we have made literacy growth and gains

 

Expanded Learning Opportunities for Students

• Partnership with Kaiser Permanente and Real School Gardens that support our building of Belmont’s STEM and Outdoor Learning Lab

• Becoming a Child First Community School, which means we now provide an array of supports and resource for our students and families.

 

Health and Wellness

• National leader in our Healthy School Initiative, offering additional physical activity and Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Program to our scholars in hopes that they will make positive choices to improve their health

• Partnership with Vision Baltimore helps us provide vision screening and free eyeglasses for every scholar in need

• Partnership with University of Maryland, C & C Advocacy and Restorative Response Baltimore to bring much needed sources to develop the social and emotional wellness of our scholars and their families.
