WE ARE A COMMUNITY SCHOOL

cf.png
Belmont Elementary School has recently joined forces with Child First Authority, Inc. to become a Community School. A Community School is both a place and a set of strategic partnerships between the school and other community resources. Community Schools look to integrate academics, health and social services, youth and community development, and community engagement, with hopes of improving student learning, building stronger families and healthier communities.

As a Community School, we have a full time Community School Coordinator on staff who works in partnership with school leadership to build relationships with school staff and community partners, engage the families and community residents, and coordinate an array of resources and supports to increase student success both inside and outside the classroom and to ensure families and the entire school community has what they need to thrive.

Child First Authority is a non-profit organization is Baltimore whose mission is to develop you and strengthen families by providing high quality community schools, after-school and summer learning programs that promote academic achievement, social and emotional well-being and parent leadership.
